Numer­ous recre­ational and cul­tural oppor­tu­ni­ties are avail­able in the areas sur­round­ing the Hewitt community.

Hewitt res­i­dents value the avail­abil­ity of out­door recre­ation, and Hewitt pro­vides two parks to its cit­i­zens. Hewitt Park and War­ren Park pro­vide won­der­ful out­door recre­ational oppor­tu­ni­ties for the com­mu­nity. Both parks are great for fam­ily reunions, club pic­nics or just tak­ing the chil­dren to play.

Lake Waco, the largest urban lake in Texas, in only 10 min­utes from Hewitt and offers 12 square acre miles for fish­ing, boat­ing and water sports. Whit­ney, Bel­ton and Still­house Hol­low Lakes are all within an hour’s drive. The mild cli­mate of Cen­tral Texas allows plenty of time to take advan­tage of all types of out­door activities.
